Aromatherapy is not unlike the other therapies available within the Client Record Master Application having been carefully designed to facilitate the detailed capture of information required  when treating a client or patient with Aromatherapy and Essential Oils, by presenting the Aromatherapist with a flexible, but ordered selection of prompts to a range of subject areas relating to Aromatherapy and the selection of suitable essential oils.

This is achieved via two levels of information capture as demonstrated to the right with a selection of screens. The Treatment Notes being the first level which relating to areas associated with holistic treatment in general.

Treatment Notes:

  • Screen based textual description of the client/patient details.

  • Treatment notes displaying the details associated with the Aromatherapy treatment.

  • Client/patient complaint or reason for treatment.

  • General symptoms being experienced.

  • Client/patient stress and energy levels.

  • Documentation of any changes that have taken place since the last treatment.

  • Documentation of short and long term goals to the treatment.

  • Documenting the therapists reflective practices of the treatment.

  • This information is made available in hardcopy format at the simple click of a button.

The second level being more specifically related to Aromatherapy having been designed to record the Observations made during the actual treatment.

 

Treatment Observations:

  • The identification of any specific contraindications.

  • Key measurements.

  • Evaluation of key muscles and their condition.

  • Review of overall posture.

  • Identification of areas of heat sensitivity.

  • Identification of areas of nerve sensitivity.

  • Notes on the outcome of the last treatment.

  • Notes on the client/patient reaction during the treatment.

  • Rational for the choice of the particular treatment.

  • Treatment methods employed.

  • Medium and equipment used during the treatment.

  • Treatment outcome or conclusions.

  • Home care and advice provided to the client/patient.

On selection of the Carrier and Essential Oils Used, the therapist is presented with a range of preloaded information relating to both Carrier and Essential oils. The therapist through the system maintenance screens is able to amend and add to preloaded information thus providing a flexible tool for the management of recipes and other key Aromatherapy treatment information.

 

By selecting an individual essential oil this system provides information on the following areas:

  • Oil Blends.

  • Oil Action.

  • Oil Application.

  • Oil Safety Information.

  • Oil Conditions treatment associations.

  • Access to a full Glossary of terms.

  • A detailed description of the essential oil.

  • Latin Name.

  • Family Name.

  • Note information.

  • Colour.

  • Scent.

  • The relationship between the essential oils to the emotional states experienced as a result of today's fast pace of life.
