Why is there a slight delay when selecting a process for the first time?

The system will load a process in to your computer memory when it's first requested and not before, this action will sometimes result in a slight delay in the display of information on your computer screen. A delay can also occur when a large amount of information is being processed, this is most noticeable when requesting reports for the first time.

I am having problems installing the Therapist software application?

The most common problem relating to the installation of the download files is the file format. The downloaded folders are in compressed format (zipped) and must be extracted or unzipped before attempting the Therapist application installation.

You should extract the folder you downloaded from the website and if using the default settings a folder named “C:\TCRM Application Packages” will have be created on your systems hard drive.

Depending on how your extractor program works you may find a second subfolder with the same name "TCRM Application Packages". Within this folder you are looking to open a subfolder called System Setup. Within the System Setup subfolder you will find a number of files, there are two files in particular (Setup_x32 for use with a 32bit Windows Operating Systems) or (Setup_x64 for use with a 64bit Windows Operating Systems). It may be a good idea to read the “TCRM Installation Adobe Acrobat Document” which is also located in the System Setup folder before proceeding with the installation.

By double clicking on the appropriate (Setup_x32 or Setup_x64) the Windows Installer program should run. During the installation process the system may request a system Restart, if this happens your response needs to be “No -- I will restart later” allowing the installation to complete before restarting your system.

On completion of the installation process (the system will let you know when it has finished) you should fine an Icon on your desktop which will start the Therapist application for the first time, this process (activated from the Setup dropdown menu) well carryout two additional functions, System Control File creation and the installation of all related optional research modules.

Another common problem relates to previously installed versions of the software. It is always advisable to uninstall all existing versions of the software before attempting to install a new version or upgrades.

Noting that once the application has been uninstalled not all files will have been removed from the folders and subfolders. This is normal as the application de-installation process is designed not to remove any application generated information. These remaining files will be used by any new or upgraded software that you subsequently install.

If you have extracted / unzipped the folder and uninstalled any previous versions of our software and you are still having installation problems, please contact us, providing as much information as possible about the error(s) being experienced.

Why doesn't my date range change having changed the financial year end?

When a form first opens it checks for the financial year end settings and sets the related controls on that screen accordingly. These settings remain active whilst the form remains open, if a change to these settings takes place through one of the maintenance screens, that change will only take effect once the screen is closed and re-opened.

What are the system requirements?

System Requirements

To run the system on your computer ensure that it meets the following minimum requirements

  • Operating systems: Windows XP with service pack 3, Vista or Windows 7

  • 600 MHz Pentium III or compatible processor (or greater) dependant upon minimum operating system requirements

  • 192 MB of ROM (256 MB or more recommended)

  • Hard disk drive with 350 MB of available space

  • Video (1024 x 768 or higher resolution) monitor with at least 256 colour (high colour 16-bit required)

  • Keyboard, mouse or compatible pointing device

Windows Operating System 

The Therapist application has been written and optimised for the Windows 7 operating system.

If the system is to run on the Windows XP operating system and or a 64bit processor, it may require a number of additional windows component which will be installed automatically during the install process if they are not already present.

What is the default user name and password?

The Default User ID is Administrator and the default Password is password noting that they are both case sensitive

Though we are not in a position to recommend any particular training establishment we have complied a list of reputable colleges and training establishments along with their contact information and suggest you contact them directly.

Why am I able to delete some entries and not others, a client for example?

In the case of the client, the system is holding linked historic information and deleting the client details would result in the loss of all the information associated with that client. The system archive process will, however, eventually remove any deactivated control information from the system. (Client, Treatments, Products etc.)
